Everlasting Valve Company developed the self-lapping Flat Rotating Disc metal seated valve in 1911 to handle abrasive slurries in boiler blowdown service. This concept was chosen State-of the-Art lock hopper valve by the DOE for the Clean Coal Technologies program. It is also included in “Best Practices” of a major petroleum refiner for Fluid Catalytic Crackers and Continuous Cat Reformers. Everlasting valves replace installed valves that are repaired more than once a year to increase production and profit. Valve capabilities are vacuum to 10,000 psig, temperature to 1500 F, sizes to 18 inches with pneumatic, manual, or electric actuation and dry solids Bulk Material Valves (US Patent 5,396,919) to 14 inches with pneumatic actuation.
