Fiberglass boiler ropes and tapes are used to seal, insulate, and protect components in boilers, furnaces, ovens, and other high-temperature equipment. Made from woven or braided fiberglass yarn, these materials are non-combustible and typically rated for continuous temperatures up to about 1000°F (538°C), making them suitable for many boiler room applications.
Fiberglass rope is commonly used as boiler door gasketing, access panel seals, and compression packing, while fiberglass tape provides a flat sealing surface for flanges, pipes, and expansion joints. These materials help reduce heat loss, maintain tight seals, and protect surrounding components from excessive temperatures.
With low thermal conductivity and resistance to many industrial chemicals, fiberglass ropes and tapes offer long service life in demanding environments. They are widely used in boilers, industrial ovens, kilns, and other thermal systems where reliable high-temperature sealing and insulation are required.
