Pyrex annular edge glass is no longer available due to the closure of Corning’s Sunderland plant. The approved replacement is Maxos® molded sight glass circles, manufactured from borosilicate 8488 glass. Maxos® offers a uniform 3/4" thickness (vs. Pyrex® 5/8") for added safety, superior optical clarity, and increased thermal shock resistance. Each glass is pressure tested to 8× its rated working pressure for maximum operator safety.
