Three types of glass are available: borosilicate, cobalt blue, and quartz, each offering different viewing options. The glass is protected by a stainless steel screen and shutter, which automatically closes when the handle is released. Wing nuts make it easy to remove the glass for cleaning or replacement. Each unit includes a 1/4" NPT purge hole for adding cooling capabilities with air or nitrogen. Sealant can be added to improve the seal in pressure applications.
All Saf-T-Eye® observation ports come with a mounting flange gasket that fits securely between the unit and the vessel wall. Most configurations are available in cast iron, except for the model 16, which is made from carbon steel. Custom fabrication in other metals is available upon request.

Note: Units come standard unless "Pressure-Tite" is requested.
The "E" dimension of these units is cut on a thirty degree angle providing a different viewing aspect inside the vessel. A small and large viewing window is available from stock.
