SAF Industrial Viewports (formerly Tate-Jones, Inc.) provides blast Gate Valves Threaded that are used to regulate air flow, and the flow of other materials in a variety of applications. It uses a sturdy, cast iron body that houses the precise-machined, self-cleaning stainless steel slide. The slide is adjusted easily to any position by a choice of operating mechanisms.
These Blast Gates are especially suited for low pressure appications where 100% shut-off is NOT required.Additional cooling can be obtained by adding a purge connection on the glass or vessel side of the blast gate housing. Threaded sizes range from 1" to 10" NPT threaded openings. Three choices of glass are available for varying temperature exposures and viewing requirements.
The standard Blast Gate unit is a Class 30 gray iron with Max Temp. of 425°F.
