Armstrong inverted bucket steam traps feature a simple, reliable design with only two moving parts, the bucket and valve lever assembly, eliminating complex linkages that can stick, bind, or clog. Operating on the inverted bucket principle, the trap opens and closes based on the density difference between steam and condensate, allowing smooth operation and reduced wear.
As the trap wears, sealing performance actually improves. The ball valve and seat create a tight line-contact seal that becomes more effective over time as the valve seats deeper, ensuring long-term efficiency.
The Armstrong 880 Series cast iron inverted bucket steam trap is designed for horizontal installation and includes an integral strainer. Rated for pressures up to 250 psig with capacities to 4,400 lb/hr, it provides dependable condensate drainage for a wide range of steam-using equipment while helping reduce energy loss, maintenance, and replacement costs.
