Madden Liquid Sample Coolers are compact heat exchangers designed to lower high-temperature liquid samples to safe testing temperatures and cool pump seal flush liquids. The counterflow design efficiently cools tube-side liquid.
Type 1 – All piping connections are on the threaded top cap. Coils are 1/4″ OD tubing with 1/4″ NPT connections. Cooling water enters left, exits right. Sample inlet is vertical on top; cooled sample exits through the spout.
Type 2 – Available with 1/4″ or 3/8″ OD tubing coils. Sample connections are 1/4″ NPTF on the top plate. Cooling water connections are 3/8″ NPTF on both top and bottom plates.
Cooling capacity – 1.3 sq ft coil area for grab samples or continuous instrument cooling; 2.6 sq ft or larger recommended for steam samples.
