Tube Bundles To Fit All OEM Hot Water Storage Tanks

Additional Information

Tank heaters are constructed using a U-tube bundle design, allowing a heating medium—such as steam or hot water—to circulate through the tubes while the surrounding tank fluid is heated through natural convection. This configuration accommodates thermal expansion and contraction across a wide range of temperature variations, reducing stress on the bundle and extending service life. The U-tube design also enhances durability in demanding applications where temperature fluctuations are common.

Standard construction includes a fabricated carbon steel collar with optional stainless steel upgrades. Tube sheets are fabricated carbon steel with options for stainless steel, 90/10 copper-nickel, or brass. Tubes are typically copper, with stainless steel, 90/10, or 70/30 copper-nickel available upon request. Bonnets are cast iron, with optional cast 316 stainless steel or cast bronze. Tube-side pressure ratings are 150 PSI for 4” through 8” diameters and 125 PSI for 10” through 14” diameters, with a maximum temperature of 375°F. Tank-side ratings are 150 PSI at 375°F.
