Brass and Stainless Steel Gauge Glass Washers
Brass and stainless steel gage glass washers are used in liquid level gauge assemblies to create a secure, durable seal between the gauge glass and the gauge body. Brass washers provide good corrosion resistance and malleability, making them suitable for general boiler and water-level applications. Stainless steel washers offer greater strength and resistance to high temperatures, pressure, and chemical exposure, making them ideal for more demanding service conditions. Both types maintain reliable sealing performance under repeated thermal cycles and mechanical stress. When installing, ensure that all sealing surfaces are clean and free from scale or pitting, and replace washers whenever the gauge glass is changed to maintain an effective seal.
