Insulating fire bricks are lightweight refractory bricks made from high-purity clay and alumina, engineered to withstand high temperatures while minimizing heat storage. Unlike dense fire bricks, they are designed specifically for thermal insulation — retaining heat within furnaces and kilns while keeping exterior surfaces cooler. Available in multiple grades manufactured to international standards, IFBs are rated for temperatures from 2300°F up to 3000°F (1649°C).
