Axeman-Anderson tankless coils are designed for heating boilers and use a finned copper tube inserted directly into the boiler to produce domestic hot water. Acting as a heat exchanger, the coil transfers heat from the boiler water to cold water flowing through it, delivering hot water on demand.
Common in oil- and some gas-fired boiler systems, tankless coils eliminate standby heat loss since water is heated only when needed. These systems are most often found in colder climates where boilers are already used for space heating.
