Inverted Bucket & Float and Thermostatic Steam Traps & Repair Kits Spirax / Sarco Steam Traps Spirax / Sarco FT-150 / FT-200 Steam Traps
The Spirax / Sarco FT-150 / FT-200 traps contains a float valve mechanism which modulates to discharge condensate continuously at steam temperature, while non-condensible gases are released by a separate internal balanced pressure thermostatic air vent. Maximum operating pressure for the FT-150 is 150 psig and the FT-200 is 200 psig. The maximum operating temperature is 450°F at all operating pressures. Typical applications are all process equipment, particularly when controlled by modulating temperature control valves, unit heaters, air heating coils, heat exchangers and steam main drip stations. Available in sizes 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", and 1-1/2". Constructed with a cast iron body & cover and stainless steel internals. Options include a gauge glass and vacuum breaker.
The Spirax Sarco FT150 and the FT200 steam traps contains a float valve mechanism which modulates to discharge condensate continuously at steam temperature, while non-condensible gases are released by a separate internal balanced pressure thermostatic air vent. Typical applications for the Spira Sarco FT150 , FT-200 are all process equipment, particularly when controlled by modulating temperature control valves, unit heaters, air heating coils, heat exchangers and steam main drip stations. A pipeline strainer should be installed ahead of the Spirax Sarco FT150 and FT200 steam trap. Full port isolating valves should be placed to permit servicing. The trap should be installed below the drainage point of the equipment with a collecting leg before the trap, in a position so that the float arm is in a horizontal plane and the float rises and falls vertically, with the flow direction as indicated on the cover.
