TETRA-MAX JS 100% ePTFE Joint Sealant

TETRA-MAX JS 100% ePTFE Joint Sealant is a soft, compressible gasket material made of 100% pure, expanded PTFE. It is a form-in-place gasket that conforms to almost any sealing surface. Upon compression, it forms a thin, hard ribbon that fills in surface irregularities and creates an extremely tight seal. It is capable of withstanding a wider range of pressures, temperatures and chemical environments than any other soft gasket.

This form of joint sealant is specially processed by expanding 100% pure polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It provides a soft, highly compressible gasket for longer life and trouble-free sealing. Its form-in-place versatility cuts maintenance and storage costs. The high compressibility of TETRA-MAX JS enables it to effectively fill flange imperfections for a tight, leak-free seal. Under pressure, it provides a very wide, thin ribbon-like joint sealant. Unlike conventional PTFE which is prone to cold flow, TETRA-MAX JS has good creep resistance and bolt torque retention properties. It does not support bacterial growth or cause product contamination and is FDA compliant. It has virtually no shelf-life concerns since PTFE is unaffected by normal environmental conditions.
