| High Temperature
- Low Pressure Our
Hi-Temp Low Pressure Peep
Sights have standard NPT male pipe
threads. The housing of the units is available in
stainless steel or carbon steel with nickel plating.
Each unit is carefully assembled with a quartz lens and
grafoil gaskets.
The quartz lens is suited for a maximum intermittent
operating temperature of 2048°F and continuous operating
temperature of 1600°F, and allows for optical pyrometer
checking of the flame or operation of vessel.
The lens can easily be removed for cleaning or
replacement.
Standard stocked units range in size from 1/2" to 2".
Custom sizes 2-1/2", 3", 4", 6" by special order.
Operating environment and temperature should be
considered when ordering. |

Temperature - High Pressure
These Low-Temp High Pressure
Peep Sites have standard NPT male pipe
threads. The borosilicate lens is suited for a maximum
operating temperature of 400°F. The borosilicate lens
allows for visual or optical pyrometer checking of the
flame or operation of vessel. The lens can easily be
removed for cleaning, replacement or re-packing.
Standard stocked units range in size from 1/4" to 2".

| Blast Gate
F/T Our
Blast Gate Port F/T,
available in 3" or 4" pipe size, mounts to a mating
flange, while the viewing components are housed in a NPT
threaded body half. The standard stainless steel slide
arrangement in the blast gate gives added protection and
life to the lens during operation, and allows
maintenance to be performed with added safety during
vessel down-time.
This special half-flanged,
half-threaded unit is only available in 3" and 4" sizes.
The standard unit is a Class 30 gray
iron with maximum temperature of
425 °F. Custom units made from Carbon Steel and
Stainless Steel by special order.
Glass types available for this unit
are Clear Quartz, Clear Pyrex. |

| Blast Gate
Threaded Our
Blast Gate Observation Ports
uses our standard line of blast gates as the primary
component and incorporate a glass lens, gaskets, and
rings that are securely retained with a metal bushing.
The stainless steel slide arrangement in the blast gate
gives added protection and life to the lens during
operation, and allows maintenance to be performed with
added safety during vessel down-time.
Additional cooling can be obtained by adding a purge
connection on the glass or vessel side of the blast gate
housing.
Threaded sizes range from 2" to 6" NPT threaded
openings. Three choices of glass are available for
varying temperature exposures and viewing requirements.
The standard unit is a Class 30 gray iron with maximum
temperature of 425 °F. Custom units made from Carbon
Steel and Stainless Steel by special order.

 |
| Saf-T-EyeŽ Port
Our Saf-T-EyeŽ
Observation Ports enable the operator to
safely and clearly inspect the interior. Adjustments can
be made under actual operating conditions without
combustion or air infiltration. Four types of glass are
available for a variety of viewing conditions. High and
Low temperature glass, as explained below, is protected
by the stainless steel screen and stainless shutter. The
viewing is done by pulling handle down; when finished
release handle and shutter closes automatically. Glass
can be cleaned and removed quickly by using wing nuts.
Each unit includes a 1/4" NPT purge hole for adding
cooling capabilities with air or nitrogen. Sealant can
be added to improve the seal in low-pressure
applications. All Saf-T-EyeŽ
observation ports are provided with a mounting flange
gasket that fits securely between the unit and the
vessel wall. All configurations of the
Saf-T-EyeŽ units
are available in cast iron and stainless steel (except
for the Model 12 (Angular) and 16, which is carbon
steel) from stock. Fabrication in other metals for
specific applications is available upon request.
