Additional Information
Boilersupplies.com boiler feed & Condensate Return systems help maintain peak efficiency and prolong the life of boilers where investment in a deaerator cannot be justified. Consisting of one or more feed & condensate return pumps and any type of Receiver tank needed form Carbon & Stainless Steel receiver tanks. The system automatically supplements condensate with makeup water to replace system losses. In the Boiler Feed Cold water is heated by mixing with hot condensate return and pumped to the boiler on demand. Boilersupplies.com Stocks units as small as 6 Gallon to 500 Gallon Tanks.

All systems using three phase motors can be supplied with a NEMA Type 1,4,12 Control Panel enclosure which include magnetic starters, H-O-A selector switches, external resets, stand-by selector switches where required (dual units do not require a standby selector switch), 115 volt holding coils and starter overload heaters.
For use with scotch-marine and fire tube boilers at operating pressures up to 150 PSI. For locations requiring automatic unattended operation. .

In normal industrial installations the condensing equipment on the steam lines dumps water back through the traps at temperatures of 180˚ - 190˚ F. In normal steam heating systems the temperature is even lower at about 160˚F. Chemical treatment of feedwater is introduced through by-pass feeders in the line between the pump and boiler or by means of proportioning pumps directly to the boilers so that feedwater chemicals do not pass through the pump.

Collect and return hot steam condensate to the boiler or boiler feed unit in low-pressure steam heating systems. Engineered to resist cavitation, insuring extended pump life and stable operation. Pumps are top mounted on tank to keep all mechanical seals above the water line. A float switch turns pumps on and off automatically. Tanks are cast iron and have a 2" NPT female intake connection and 1" NPT female discharge connection. They also have a 1/2" NPT female drain connection. All have an open drip proof (ODP), continuous duty, single-phase motor, and are wired for 120 VAC. They have a junction box with screw terminals. Temperature range is 160° to 200° F. Made in the U.S.A.

Condensate pumps are designed to collect condensed liquid at remote locations in a steam system and move it back to the boiler room. Condensate can be driven by either electricity or steam. Motor-driven pumps typically have centrifugal type pumps and include controls that de-energize the pump when water level in receiver is low. A typical motor-driven unit consists of a 3/16" thick, welded steel receiver or cast iron receiver with an industry-standard electric motor that is close coupled to a bronze-fitted, centrifugal pump. Both simplex and duplex configurations are available with/without mounted, pre-wired control panels. The steam-driven units are typically used in hazardous environments or where electricity may not be readily available.
